Duo Round is a signet ring of two halves. On one side sits a round salt and pepper diamond, its facets flashing between white and dark grey. On the other, a small square panel of fine lines twists and fans inwards, like a shutter turning. One half is a stone, the other a pattern, and each is calm on its own terms.
A salt and pepper diamond is defined by its inclusions. Tiny flecks of dark and light are scattered through the stone, so it looks cloudy and speckled, like granite or a night sky, rather than perfectly clear. No two are alike, and that character is the point. This one is a 5mm faceted round of 0.49ct. It's set flush in the brushed gold, so the surface stays smooth and comfortable, and the diamond's grey tones look soft against the warm yellow gold.
The twisting panel was modelled in 3D and then cast in gold, which keeps every line crisp and evenly spaced. It catches the light and shifts as your hand moves, so it works as a counterpoint to the diamond's sparkle.
The wide, flat face gives the ring the presence of a traditional signet, while the tapered band keeps it comfortable to wear. Wear it alone as an everyday statement, or stack it with plain bands.
