Designed around your story
Every bespoke commission begins with a story worth telling, a feeling, a memory, a connection you want to carry with you always. Rather than choosing from what already exists, you help shape something that has never existed before: a piece made entirely for you, and entirely because of you.
Sometimes that story belongs to one person, a milestone marked, a moment honoured, a piece made simply because you deserve something of your own. Sometimes it belongs to two, an engagement, a friendship, a bond between parent and child or siblings, or any connection you want to hold onto forever. And sometimes it begins with a piece you already love, reimagined in a new stone or metal until it feels like it was always meant to be yours.
However it begins, the joy is in the making, a piece that starts as an idea and becomes something you'll wear for a lifetime, and pass on for the next.
One expression of this is the Multiplane DUO, a commission option for a pair of rings for two people whose lives are woven together. You'll find it in full below, but it's just one way of dreaming something into being with Beth.
Multiplane DUO
The Multiplane Duo is one of Beth Chesser’s bespoke commissioning experiences, created for two people whose lives are connected by a shared story. Whether celebrating an engagement, lifelong friendship, siblings, a parent and child, or a meaningful partnership, each pair of rings is individually designed while remaining unmistakably connected.
Every ring is composed of two distinct planes.
The Signature Plane carries an architectural geometric pattern, the visual thread that unites the pair and becomes a lasting symbol of your connection.
The Expression Plane is designed around gemstones chosen by you. Select stones that hold personal meaning, celebrate birth months, mark significant moments, or simply reflect your individual style. Each composition is unique, allowing every ring to remain personal while belonging to the same design family.
No two Multiplane Duo commissions are alike.
Each pair is designed in consultation with Beth, where proportions, gemstones, precious metals and subtle details are considered together to create two rings that speak to one another without ever being identical.
The result is a pair of heirloom pieces, distinct for each wearer, yet forever connected through a shared geometric language.

Initial Conversation
Get in touch by email to start your commission journey.
We'll talk about your ideas, inspiration, occasion, preferred materials, budget and timescale. You are welcome to share reference images, sketches, sentimental objects or simply a feeling you'd like the piece to capture. Whether you know exactly what you want or need guidance, Beth will help shape your ideas into a unique design.

Design Deposit
Once you'd like to move forward, a £250 design deposit secures your commission.
This covers the time spent developing your bespoke design and is fully deducted from the final balance should you proceed with the commission.

Collaborative Design Development
This is where your piece begins to take shape. Beth will develop concepts and sketches based on your ideas, refining the design together through feedback and collaboration until every detail feels right. Once approved, you’ll receive the final quotation and production timeline.

Production Deposit
To begin making your jewellery, a 50% production deposit is required.
Once received, materials are sourced and your piece begins its journey, brought to life with the care and attention that defines every commission by Beth Chesser.

Crafting Your Piece
Throughout the making process, Beth may share updates or progress images so you can follow your piece as it comes to life.

Final Payment
When your piece is complete and ready for dispatch, the remaining balance is due.
The final payment is the remaining 50% of the commission price, less your £250 design deposit, which has already been credited towards the total.

Delivery
Once the final payment has been received, your finished piece will be beautifully packaged and shipped, ready to be worn, treasured or gifted.
Customisation
In addition to bespoke commission, most pieces of jewellery from Beth Chesser can be personalised to reflect your own story, with the option to choose your preferred gemstone or precious metal.
You may wish for Beth to source a particular stone for a piece you’ve fallen in love with or create a piece in a different metal such as 18ct white, yellow or rose gold.
Pricing for personalised pieces depends on the design, materials and level of customisation required. As a guide, bespoke adaptations are generally aligned with the pricing of the original collection, with final costs confirmed once your ideas and design have been discussed.
